viva

After received an email from the postgraduate office, I started to feel butterflies in my stomach. Although I've start preparing the slides since a month ago, obviously it wasn't an enough preparation. The truth is, I only made a single slide in a day. Since the total slide presentation is 30, it took me roughly a month just to complete the slide. Duh.. I wasnt utilize time appropriately. The fact that I am doing part time job up till now contributes laziness for me to just staying on bed upon reaching room from the office workloads.

The viva session was held on the 30th April 2014. Alhamdullilah it was a smooth session. I am happy and this news is totally cheer me up. At the moment, I am struggling to do do formatting according to Gaya UKM. My appointment with the PPS will be held on this coming Thursday. I hope everything goes well as I plan to print and bind the thesis by end of this coming week. Oh my gosh. Seriously I am running out of time. I wanna go back hometown T_T

Now, I have to admit there is someone who has been motivating me through out this journey since the day I started running the long tough experiment session to the day I am juggling with the thesis writing. A perfect stranger. Thank you ;')

when you miss me, just call my name

I always heard this prodigy phrase over the songs, movies etc. Indeed, this phrase brings so much thoughts and of course it potrays millions meaning.

 Last night, all of sudden I was thinking of this person. I named it A. Well, we rarely chat with each other. I could say that we chat only once in 2/3 months or maybe longer than that period of time. Just because we meet up in the cyber world and that would definitely the reason why.

However, either me or A will drop a random message after that long period of silence, after 2 months. Just to make sure that either you and me still exist in this world. This is the thing that we do regularly. Surprising, I has been almost 3 years we stay connected over the cyber world and over the phone which started a year ago. Yes, I knew this person back during my working days in the bank. A was working offshore and rarely come back here.

So, back to the main story. As last night I fall asleep super early, which was around 9 pm and I awake at 3 am in the morning. Upon checking my phone, so sudden I received a short message from A through WA. Wasn't it so random for you to text people in the middle of night? Well, obviously A has nothing to do my my thesis project either. Our conversation ended almost at 5 am. 

Truth saying, earlier in the evening, I was thinking of him. So random and he appeared to texted me in the middle of the night in the same day. Wasn't it so random!

Well, I believe this happened in random but the fact that the phrase "when you miss me, just call my name.."  hiding thousand of secrets, I agree with it. I would call this as a random things which brighten up my day. It was fun talking to him in many ways. One of his advice I would always remember is "take a good care of yourself..."

Insyallah, I will. Thank you very much mr stranger ;)

update 1

Yes. As mentioned in previous post, I have to update my recent progress on Chapter 2 writing. As far as now, I just crossing 3 boxes of sub-topics out of 6. Huargh! Another 3 boxes to be completed. Fyi, those 6 boxes illustrate main point/ topic to be discussed in Chapter 2. Those topics are as follows:

1) Visual place categorization

2) KTH-IDOL2

3) Issues and problems in visual place categorization domain

4) Features extraction

5) Support Vector Machine

6) Combining multiple classifiers.

Oh well. I just realised that there are 2 topics left. I am planning to complete all the reviews by end of this week. Insyallah I'll be submitting the first 3 topics review to my sv this evening. The 6th topic was already submitted last week and I don't have any idea on how my sv would gives comments on it. Urgh!

Never mind. Just keep moving and maintain the path. Well, if reasonable I should speed up. Insyallah I can do it!!!!

Burn the midnight oil

Assalamualaikum

As Im writing this post, the dateline for the thesis submission is about 15 days coming.Truth saying, I could say that my progress on writing is only about +- 50%. This is freak me out. Such a big blame and mistake for me to spent too much time on developing and testing phase. I should start writing earlier, maybe both writing and code writing should be executed simultaneously.

But, apparently the testing phase real sicken me.
Subhanallah! I've learnt a lot. I should properly plan my Gantt chart and follow it equivalently. But this is the thing I did not aware from the start. Now, I feel like punching myself straight on my face. I wanna cry out loud. My heart beats fast and my mind is juggling between list of subtopics to be written in Chapter 2. At the same time, my testing results should be analyzed and that would be another toughest part. Strong and appropriate justification should be listed down in the thesis. Ahh. I am running out of time.

I just need to keep myself motivated and always keep in my mind that I can do this. Insyallah I can do this. All I need to do to believe in myself. Those 15 days remaining are such a gold, diamonds or anything valuable I could relate it too. I have to utilized them wisely, effectively.

For the time being, Im hoping for myself to at least finish my Literature Review (chapter 2) by the end of this week all together with the corrected version of chapter 3,4 and 5. I should start drafting result and discussion section for chapter 6 as well. All these listed are my crucial things to achieved by the end of this week, 18th Jan 2014.

Insyallah I believe in myself.

Till now. I'll write back soon. Insyallah tomorrow, I'll be writing back to update my progress. I just found out that a quick rambling at this space could help me refresh my mind a bit. Alhamdullilah as by writing these positive words, I can fell them absorbed in my mind.
